According to China Customs, in the first four months of 2026, China's import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 102.54 billion USD, up by 10.4% y/y. Among that, the export value was 34.41 billion USD, up by 4.9%. The import value was 68.13 billion USD, up by 13.4%. Trade deficit reached 33.71 billion USD, expanded by 23.6% year-on-year.

For the month of April, China's import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 27.6 billion USD, up by 14.3% y/y. Among that, the export value was 8.79 billion USD, up by 3.8%. The import value was 18.81 billion USD, up by 20%. Trade deficit reached 10.01 billion USD, expanded by 39% year-on-year.
