According to China Customs, in the first three months of 2026, China's import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 74.92 billion USD, up by 8.9% y/y. Among that, the export value was 25.63 billion USD, up by 5.3%. The import value was 49.29 billion USD, up by 11%. Trade deficit reached 23.67 billion USD, expanded by 17.8% year-on-year.

For the month of March, China's import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 24.18 billion USD, up by 5.8% y/y. Among that, the export value was 8.56 billion USD, down by 6.1%. The import value was 15.61 billion USD, up by 13.6%. Trade deficit reached 7.05 billion USD, expanded by 52.3% year-on-year.
