According to China Customs, in the first four months of 2025, China's import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 92.91 billion USD, down by 9.7% y/y. Among that, the export value was 32.81 billion USD, up by 5%. The import value was 60.1 billion USD, down by 16.1%. Trade deficit reached 27.29 billion USD, narrowed by 32.5% year-on-year.

For the month of April, China's import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 24.15 billion USD, down by 11.1% y/y. Among that, the export value was 8.47 billion USD, up by 3%. The import value was 15.68 billion USD, down by 17.2%. Trade deficit reached 7.2 billion USD, narrowed by 32.7% year-on-year.
