2025 China International Grains and Feed Industry Conference Held in Guilin

On July 11, 2025, the 2025 China International Grains and Feed Industry Conference, hosted by CFNA was held in Guilin, Guangxi Province. The conference aimed to integrate domestic and international industry information, focus on key issues of concern to the sector, assist enterprises in understanding market trends, and provide a platform for business communication and cooperation.

 

CFNA president Cao Derong attended the conference and delivered a opening remark. More than 160 industry representatives from China, Brazil, the United States, Australia, and other countries participated in the event.

To follow up on the outcomes of Brazilian President Lula’s state visit to China in May this year, Mr. Jean F C Gouhie, agricultural attaché of Brazil in China, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He highly praised the Sino-Brazilian cooperation in the trade of food and agricultural products, and provided an on-site introduction to the current status of Brazilian sorghum and DDGS exports to China.

Wang Jimin, director of the Strategic Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Zhu Zengyong, chief researcher at the Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Wu Tianlong, deputy director of the Analysis Division at the Rural Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; and Qi Chiming, senior economist at the State Grain and Oil Information Center, shared their insights on the development pattern of China's livestock industry, the future trends of the hog farming sector, and the supply and demand situation of grains and feed.

Representatives from the U.S. Grains Council, the Brazilian Corn and Sorghum Producers Association, the Brazilian Corn Ethanol Union, the Brazilian Association of Grain Exporters, and the Australian Grains Council and Grain Trade Association shared insights on global grain production, supply to China, and industry outlooks, and engaged in discussions with attendees.
