Martin Orlando, Minister Counselor of Uruguayan Embassy, together with Nicolás Cardozo, CEO of Uruguayan propolis company APITER visited CFNA and held talks on the promotion of trade of Uruguayan and Chinese bee products on Oct. 30. CFNA vice president Xu Xiaohu and Du Tieping, deputy secretary general of the bee product sub-chamber attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Xu Xiaohu briefly introduced the role of CFNA in the import and export trade of agricultural products and foodstuffs in China, and expressed his gratitude to the Uruguayan Embassy for its support and close cooperation in the trade activities of the Chamber, and his hope to establish wider contacts with Uruguayan agricultural and food enterprises, including bee products enterprises, to promote bilateral trade in agricultural and food products between China and Uruguay. Martin Orlando introduced the advantages of Uruguay in the international trade of agricultural and food products, expressed his gratitude to CFNA for its long-term work in promoting the trade of Uruguayan agricultural and food products with China, and said that the Uruguayan Embassy in Beijing will, as in the past, keep in close contact with CFNA and work together to promote the high-speed development of bilateral trade in agricultural and food products.

Du Tieping, deputy secretary general of bee product sub-chamber, introduced the basic situation of China's bee products industry and the role played by the sub-chamber in promoting the import and export trade of bee products, and hoped to further strengthen the contact with Uruguay's bee product industry and promote the bilateral trade of bee products.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides expressed their willingness to further promote the trade of bee products between China and Uruguay.
